Updating Bose Dante Firmware
With Audinate’s Dante Controller
1. Open up the Audinate Dante Controller app. Make sure your Bose Dante device is available on the network. Click on the Dante Updater button:

2. Click on the right side, go to Advanced Settings:
3. Select Allow Imported Firmware and then click Apply.
4. Within the Dante Updater, click on the Library Tab at the top. Expand the Imported Files section, then click on Import Firmware at the bottom:
Note: An Internet Connection is required for the Import Firmware button to be active.
Internet Connection is not required for the update itself, however, without it you will be limited to files already imported into the Library.
5. Click on the Select File button or find the file manually and drag n’ drop it:
The Bose Dante Firmware Files will be in the .bin folder of the ControlSpace Designer’s root directory, here:
Select the file that matches your Bose model Dante device. In this example, we are updating the Dante card within an EX-1280C.
Note: If there are 2 versions of the Firmware file, and you are not certain which version to choose, please consult Bose Professional Support. This may require additional information about your Bose Dante Device.
6. Navigate back to the Home Tab, expand the Imported Firmware Files section. Find the Bose Device and expand it. You will see a button for Upgrade.
7. Wait for the Update to complete:
8. Lastly, you should see a message that a Manual Reboot is Required.
9. Please “Hard Cycle” power (unplug the device from power and reconnect it).
Note: It is best to leave the device disconnected from power for at least 30 seconds before powering it back on.
The Firmware Update should now be complete.
